Swisse Best off Ground 1 SDWM Gen C (1).jpgLocal football club champions are finally getting the kudos they deserve thanks to a new award that celebrates the best of the best, behind the scenes. The grass roots ‘Best Off Ground’ initiative and campaign launched by Swisse Wellness, a proud partner of the AFL and Swisse VFL Womens competition, searches for the most dedicated and passionate Australian Rules Football champion off the ground.

‘Best Off Ground’ is a digital and print campaign via creative agency SDWM and produced by Gen C, which is supported by social media and an exciting partnership with the Sunday Herald Sun. Celebrating unsung acts of greatness within the football community, the campaign encourages footy fans to nominate the ‘behind the scenes’ person they believe helps their club take on the season.

Swisse Best off Ground 2 SDWM GenC (1).jpgThe campaign has launched with a call for entries video featuring 2017 Swisse AFL ambassador Patrick Dangerfield, encouraging footy fans to nominate the candidate they believe should win the Swisse ‘Best Off Ground’ award by uploading a brief description and image capturing what this person contributes to their club, and why Swisse Best off Ground 3 SDWM GenC (1).jpgthey should win the ultimate prize.

Says Dangerfield: “I’m personally giving ‘three’ votes to my local coach Jamie McKenzie for inspiring me to pursue a career in football. Rain, hail or shine he always pushed us from a young age to be and play our best.

“It’s great to work with Swisse on a campaign that gives back to those who make it all happen. Without the efforts of the hardworking volunteers in the sport, we all wouldn’t be where we are today.”

The competition winner will be awarded with an unforgettable AFL experience including tickets to attend the 2017 AFL Brownlow Medal Dinner, two premium reserved seats to the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final, plus $5,000 for their nominated local footy club. There will also be two lucky runners up who will join the winner and attend the 2017 AFL Brownlow Medal Dinner.
