Fostered & Intersection merge into powerful art and music collective under ‘Fostered’ umbrella
Arts management business, Fostered, and music management business, Intersection, has announced they will be merging into one powerhouse arts and music management business under the umbrella of Fostered.
Fostered was formed in 2012 by Kate Edwards and represents some of Australia’s best visual artists including Mulga, Brooklyn Wheelan, Mr G, Capiche and Matthew Gillett but to name a few. Intersection was formed in 2013 by Shae Constantine and manages electronic producer GRMM, New York-based vocalist Father Dude, as well as musician/singer-songwriter/actor/performer/playwright iOTA.
Fostered will be an arts and music business focused on fostering talent and redefining traditional pathways for its artists. The newly merged company gives Fostered an opportunity to expand its management remit to other creative fields and professions. Fostered specialises in navigating the minefield of visual and musical arts on behalf of brands and facilitate creative work between artists and brands. Some of the collaborations and projects Fostered has worked with include ING Direct, Jack Daniels, Marrickville Council’s Perfect Match Program, Liverpool Council’s Clean Up The Streets project and many more.
Says Edwards on the merging of the two companies: “Our two arts businesses are forging ahead at a rate of knots and more commonly are working together to create even more compelling projects and campaigns for our clients. It just made sense to merge the two together, add some additional resource to the newly merged company and take the work we are so proud of to the next level. We’re so excited to bring an even more robust offering to the brand market.”
Says Constantine: “Combining the businesses of Fostered and Intersection into one management company makes complete sense. The worlds of art and music have always been closely linked and having the ability for our combined artists from different disciplines to collaborate easily opens up amazing potential for new and innovative creative ventures, this along with new hires that are on the horizon, and are looking to signing new talent to the newly formed arts powerhouse.”
Fostered artists include: Brooklyn Whelan, Capiche, Cheeky Observer, EGO, Father Dude, Gnomes, GRMM, iOTA, John R Paine, Lady J, Marine Coutroutisios, Martin Claydon, Matthew Gillett, Mr G, Mulga, Nitsua, Tessa Curren, The Art of Wall, Tom Douglas (Backwoods Concepts), Tommy Franklin and ZuZu.
