Digital marketing agency Orchard launches in NY
Leading digital marketing agency, Orchard, has today announced the opening of its New York office.
Says Wai Kwok, managing partner at Orchard Sydney: “The pharmaceutical and healthcare companies we partner span multiple countries, and in many cases these regional teams look to share examples of digital best practice with those internationally to identify areas of innovation and gain developmental efficiencies. With this in mind, the solutions we have provided to our clients have never been limited to Australia alone. As we identify future opportunities of growth for Orchard, we felt placing teams in countries where we have strong partnerships with global clients was worth pursuing, with New York City being the first to open.”
Clark Cohen has been appointed as VP, group account director to be based in New York. A born and bred American, Clark spent time in Australia working at Orchard and heading up the Zoetis account, before moving across to become a brand manager of Zoetis Australia. He will be providing client service to Orchard’s existing accounts, while identifying and pursuing new opportunities for growth, one which the agency hopes to announce soon. The agency will be looking for additional staff both from Australia and the US.
Says Cohen: “I think it’s a great sign for Orchard, but also for the Australian digital agency category in general. I believe the quality of the strategic thinking and creative innovation from Australia can more than compete in the US. The Orchard US expansion was a natural evolution. A lot of our local work produced with our clients (for example ZOETIS and NUTRICIA) was being recognised as digital innovation globally so this is a logical step. We just reached that tipping point, given that more and more of our digital work and thinking produced here was being utilised in other geographies.”
