The Pool Grant extends deadline until Fri, May 9 – $10k grant given to an emerging photographer

The Pool Grant is an initiative that provides $10,000 to an emerging artist for the fulfillment of their own photographic project. The Pool Grant has extended its entry deadline until midnight, Friday, May 9th, 2014.

Founded in 2009, the Pool Grant was created as a means to give back to the wider photographic community. The Pool Collective artists saw a need to support the development of fresh talent in the industry and have spent the past five years sharing their expertise and acting as mentors to each year’s Pool Grant recipient.

The 2014 Pool Grant recipient will have a year to make their project a reality, at the end of which they will be given the opportunity to produce their own solo exhibition showcasing the completed photographic series.

To enter simply submit your artist statement (150 words max) and a proposal (300 words max) detailing how you will bring your project to life, along with some examples of your work.
