McCann lures Dejan Rasic from Zoo to take on Sydney executive creative director role
McCann Australia has lured Dejan Rasic from Zoo Advertising to fill the role of executive creative director at its Sydney office.
Says McCann ECD John Mescall (near left with Rasic): “I’m genuinely thrilled to have Dejan as part of the team. First and foremost, he’s a guy who focuses on the quality of the product – which is what McCann is all about. And he’s a great person to work with, both within the agency and also from the client side. He’ll make us better, and I can’t wait for him to get stuck into it.”
Says Ash Farr, CEO: “Dejan is the real deal, truly a 21st century creative whose work is focused on real world impact through thinking that lives beyond singular channels. He is going to be a great partner and completes a formidable team of senior leadership talent at McCann Sydney.”
Rasic’s career has spanned over eighteen years at creative agencies in Australia, Singapore and London. In 2007, Dejan was a founding partner of Colman Rasic Sydney. In 2012 the agency joined forces with 18 Feet & Rising, London.
After his shock departure from 18 Feet & Rising in March 2013, Rasic then went on to fill the ECD role at Zoo in July 2013.
Over the course of his career Rasic has won numerous awards, including fourteen Lions at Cannes. His work has also been awarded at One Show, D&AD, The Andy’s and various other festivals. In 2007, he was ranked #1 creative in Australia by Campaign Brief magazine. Rasic has judged at leading shows including the Cannes Lions Festival and D&AD.

You’re not lured from ZOO – you’re saved.
Look out for McCann Sydney in 2014
Hahaha, I ha’d at Ha! Couldn’t agree more.
Good luck, Dejan.

Dobro Dejan.
Congrats…good stuff Dejan…
Ha!!! Won a fiddy on Zoo not working out for you – can’t expect mental acrobats to work with monkeys. Good luck at McCann’s mate. Great hire Ash, Ben and Jon.
Dejan, there was a saying at McCann Sydney many years ago when trying to sell good work to the overwhelmingly conservative clients proved nigh on impossible ‘Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig’.
@Nigel Reed be very careful or the real, and much wittier Nigel Reed might come back from the other side and give you a withering look. One which would vaporize even Julie Bishop.
So Kieran is gone?
