Australia’s top creative directors and production company producers enjoy the Campaign Brief Legendary Lunch sponsored by LIA Awards
In the lead-up to AWARD the LIA/CB Legendary Lunch was held at Peter Doyles at The Quay in Sydney yesterday.
The lunch – which was attended by Australia’s top creative directors and selected production company executive producers – was generously sponsored by New York-based Barbara Levy, president of the London International Awards, who is visiting Sydney with LIA strategic director Wayne Youkhana and event co-ordinator Laurissa Levy to catch up with top creative directors and to attend the AWARD Awards.
Says Levy (pictured far left with Anna Fawcett from Filmgraphics): “LIA is both proud and honoured to be co-hosting the LIA/CB Legendary Lunch during AWARD week in Sydney. Over the years, LIA has had a front row seat in watching the Australian advertising community grow to become a global powerhouse within this industry.
“Co-hosting is our way of giving thanks to those who have supported us throughout the years. It is a privilege for LIA to be part of this event, a way of showing the respect and admiration we have for the creatives who have led the way. What better time and place to do this than during AWARD week when the Australian creative community celebrates its achievements within this great industry.”
In 2014, LIA will continue its Creative Conversations programme that runs concurrent with the Judging in October in Las Vegas. Creative Conversations was launched in 2012 as a way of giving back to the industry, targeted to Young Creatives from around the globe. LIA coordinates 4 days of educational and enriching seminars, lunches and dinners filled with stimulating discussions centered on the experiences and ideas of the speakers in their respective fields. The entire initiative, including travel, meals and hotel expenses, is fully funded by LIA. One young Aussie and one young Kiwi creative will be chosen later in the year to attend this educational and thought-inspiring event.
The LIA Awards will be judged in Las Vegas in October and will include several Australian judges, with more to be annnounced:

Anna is a super talented producer and amazing member of the Australian film community. She will do a good job on the jury, which has a heavy hitting line up this year, including Jimmy Smith.
Although LIA need to dig a bit deeper than having Anna as a judge every 2nd year.
If you do not know who Jimmy Smith is, go watch some more NIKE work – from back before W+K entered so many award shows.
Just to clarify, Anna was the Production & Post-Production Jury president in 2012. LIA tends to ask previous Jury Presidents back the following year. Anna did not sit on the Jury in 2013 due to work commitments so it was agreed that she would be a member of the 2014 Jury. Furthermore, the 2014 Juries are not complete and the full list has not been officially released.
Waiter, there’s a hair in my banana!
Booker + free lunch. What a team!
Where are all the lady CDs and ECDs Sydney?????
D’Artagnan Waterhouse I presume.
One of the best lunches I’ve been to. Thanks Lynchy and LIA.
