JWT Sydney bolsters senior team with Richard Carr in GM role, Angela Morris as exec planning director + Jenny Willits as client services director
After experiencing strong new business growth this year and opening a new Perth office, JWT has announced three significant appointments, including two newly created senior roles.
Richard Carr (right) joins JWT in the new position of Sydney general manager, while Angela Morris (left) has been promoted to the newly created national role of executive planning director. In addition, Jenny Willits (middle) has been promoted to Sydney client services director.
Says John Gutteridge, JWT CEO Australasia: “It’s been a terrific year, we now have an incredibly strong team of talent across the board. Everyone has worked hard this year to realise our goals, creating a world-class offering in the process. We’ve made no compromises this year with new talent, recognising our people are our greatest asset.
“New business this year has inevitably resulted in growth and even more diversification in our capabilities. Critically though, we have and will continue to maintain and build on the wonderful, and unique, culture we have as an agency.”
Carr joins from fellow STW company Ogilvy & Mather where he also held the general manager’s role.
Formerly Melbourne head of planning, Morris has moved to Sydney to oversee JWT’s strategic planning across Melbourne, Sydney and JWT’s brand new Perth office.
Willits’ promotion sees her replace Rob Nichol who has returned home to the UK for personal reasons.
All three will report to Gutteridge.
