Honda experiments with its rear suspension in new interactive HTML5 game via W+K London

If we never venture into the unknown, how do we get anywhere new? Experiment. Try different things to see what works.
That’s how the Honda engineers found the right combination for the new Civic’s rear suspension.
The Experiment is a new HTML5 game – created by Wieden + Kennedy London and B-Reel – that pushes the boundaries of browser based gaming. Based in physics and played in Chrome, Firefox or Safari, the game challenges players to create a chain reaction by placing a set of pop-up windows in sequence.
Each video window contains an object that interacts with those around it to create hundreds of possibilities and combinations. At the end of six levels users get the opportunity to create their own chains then challenge their friends.
Lisa and Kirsten (left) have been in London since 2004. This year tey left their senior team role at Brothers and Sisters to take up a similar role at W+K in March.
Their final work at B&S was a follow up app to the Museum of London Streetmuseum iPhone app. The pair told CB: “The original has just hit 300,000 downloads which they’re thrilled with as the client originally hoped for 5000.
“We collaborated with german street-art collective Mentalgassi on a personal pro bono ambient campaign for Amnesty UK last year, which has been extended and goes live in multiple countries in a week or two.
“We’ve mostly been working on Honda since we started at W+K, namely three interactive projects appearing as part of the 2012 Civic launch campaign. The Experiment is the 2nd piece of work, with the third piece launching online on December 7.”

Perservered with this for about 5 minutes with pretty much zero reward. Which is 5 minutes longer than I can imagine your average punter spending. Sad to say, bit of a fail.
Really like this.
I just don’t get it, picures that link, it’s not explained properly.
Gee, that sucked.
Worked for me…cool concept.
Nice work Jeliffe n Kirsten. Ignore the haters, it’s a cool idea.
