ECD Monty Noble shifts out of STW’s brand positioning shop to explore new opportunities; SHIFT’s head of art Raj Rabindranath to ECD
Monty Noble has announced he is leaving STW’s brand positioning agency SHIFT, Sydney to take time out and explore new opportunities.
Noble made the decision to leave his position of executive creative director after selling back his equity stake in theBrandshop and then helping to establish SHIFT six months ago with Iain Good.
As a result, SHIFT’s head of art Raj Rabindranath is now Executive Creative Director. Raj has previously worked as head of art and creative group head at Ogilvy and over the years has worked with brands like Coca-Cola, Telstra, Qantas, Amex, Hyundai, GSK, ACP Magazines, Guinness, Westpac, Nestle, Uncle Toby’s, KFC, Motorola, Xerox, Foxtel, LG, Kimberly Clark, South African Airways and Lion Nathan.
Noble said it was time to pursue his next challenge: “I’m extremely proud of what we have collectively achieved during the past 10 years,” said Noble.
“Firstly building the creative reputation of Fame alongside Peter McAuliffe and Doug Watson, then, in conjunction with Gavin Larkin, helping guide theBrandshop to become one of the best agencies in the country. It was one of only three agencies in the country to be nominated for both the B&T’s and AdNews’ Agency of the Year a couple of years back.
“Helping create SHIFT has also been really rewarding and I leave the agency knowing it has great potential and is filled with wonderfully clever people.”
As yet, Noble has no plans in respect to future employment and is expected to take some time off to spend time with family.
“For the moment, I just want to spend more time with my kids before they become too old to care. This is an industry that places huge commitments on your time and a break has been long overdue.”
Says STW CEO Michael Connaghan: “Monty and I have been talking for quite a while now about his next move. He led theBrandshop exceptionally well through both the good times and some very difficult times, always doing the right thing by the group.
“Monty’s a bloody good creative and a really good bloke. He leaves with our blessing and full support.”
