Mobile beachside lockers secure summer crowds at Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman Series events
Kellogg’s is maximising its sponsorship of the Ironman Series this summer by using large, branded beachside lockers to secure beachgoers’ personal possessions whilst enjoying a day at the beach.
It solves a problem faced by most of us when at the beach – where to safely leave your keys, mobile phone, money and credit cards?
These mobile lockers are custom built within a walk-through trailer, providing up to 120 beachgoers with a secure place to store their belongings while they swim. Kellogg’s provide a secure key and attendants at the lockers.
The lockers are travelling around and attending each of the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman Series events across the eastern seaboard during summer, combined with large format billboards and roaming mobile billboards aimed at drawing crowds to the beachside area.
oOhmobile! national manager, Steve Danaher said using mobile promotions is a smart move for touring events, as the cut-through is maximised, while production costs are minimised: “The beachside lockers are great in summer for delivering perfect brand exposure through the provision of a relevant and valued community service to consumers,” he said.

No prize for second. I distinctly remember an insurance company in Perth doing it a couple of years ago. I think the agency was 303 or something like that. Pisses me off when ideas are ripped off.
Nice work. Good stuff JWT.
they are screwed if someone runs off with the trailer
Worked much better for the Un-worry idea for NRMA.
Why the fuck would you PR something if the idea was borrowed. Fucking hell JWT, what are you buggers on???
Guys I’ve seen the concept of a TVC done once or twice before but you insist on PR’ing them still???
Well done ooh and jwt simple nice and giving.
JWT did not post or send the Nutrigrain piece. It was sent by Ooh.
Looks like a media agency idea to me, for once JWT isnt to blame!
I owned and operated Beach Lockers Australia from 1999 – 2006 at Manly beach, Bondi and also worked at events and carnivals. We where the first to do so at swimming events in Australia. I sold my business in 2006 so good luck. If you need advice i’m happy to chat. Regards Steve Hall
