Droga5 joins Toyota Australia roster
Droga5, Sydney has launched its first campaign for Toyota Yaris, which is one of Australia’s top-ten most popular car brands.
Called ‘Yes’, the Droga5 campaign for the Toyota Yaris is designed to bring a fresh approach to the positioning of “All of Toyota’s big ideas in one small car”, while creating new enthusiasm for the Yaris, which first launched in Australia in 2005 and is now Toyota’s fourth top-selling model.
The campaign is spearheaded by a 30-second TVC comprising a number ofscenarios where big ideas are born from small spaces, culminating withthe line “Big ideas in small spaces? We know the feeling.”
“Droga5is proud to join the roster of one of Australia’s most respectedbrands. Our partnership with Toyota represents a huge opportunity tonurture a brand that has remained one of Australia’s most trusted andinnovative brands 50 years since it first launched in this market,”says Duncan Marshall, executive creative director at Droga5 (picturedabove left with Droga5 creative chairman David Nobay).
SaysPeter Webster, general manager of Marketing at Toyota: “Toyota Yaris isone of our most significant brands globally. ‘Yes’ highlights theingenuity of the Toyota Yaris in a fresh, energetic way that will buildon the brand’s phenomenal success to date.”

Say goodbye to Toyota Saatchi’s.
‘Yes’ Optus.
Perhaps “Rowdy” could pop down to the Shire and stabilise the client relationship?
Any truth to the rumour Saatchis have lost Lion Nathan as well ?
Everyone just calm down… take a breath, say nice things please.
I know we all love to hate the Nob.. But fair is fair, he deserves Toyota.
Lucky Droga
Say goodbye to Saatchi’s
1:02,
Judging by this latest Yaris ad from Droga I somehow think Saatchi’s have nothing to worry about.
‘Yes’ …. really!
saw the TVC, could’ve been made by any of the 20 or so agencies doing work for Toyota. Hardly inspired but well done anyway on the win.
really ‘ex – saatchi’s’? Nothing to worry about?
REALLY???
Yeah ex-saatchi’s.
Im sure Toyota will just give back Yaris to saatchi because it doesn’t meet your creative standards.
Idiot.
Agreed 3:33,
saatchi’s have nothing to worry about.
It’s not as if they’re losing accounts or anything.
When Ian gets a bit older, he’ll look like the guy on the right.
‘oh what a feeling’ will be the next ‘for a hard earned thirst’
3:33…and you’ve seen the work where?
The previous work done for Yaris by Saatchi’s far surpasses this TVC. However we don’t not know the constraints that Droga 5 had to work under, so its hard to pass judgement without knowing the full story, right?!
Wrong, 3:06.
People don’t go easy on your work just because a client is being mean to you.
It’s not like there’s a disclaimer on the bottom that says: “hey consumers, just pretend that this would have been 10% better, but for some annoying marketing types who only wanted what was best for their brand.”
Why? Droga 5 does like really, really, really bad work.
Like worst work, everrrrrr.
Why not go somewhere that does really good work, like singletons?
Helen,
Watch this to the end.
