Gold and Bronze pencils for Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney; Gold for US, Sydney at One Show Design
The One Club hosted the 2010 One Show Design ceremony this evening at the IAC Building in New York City. One Show Design, the most prestigious international design competition honored the year’s best in print design, environmental design, corporate identity, publication design, and package design, with Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils.
Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney was placed 7th agency in the world, taking out a Gold pencil for Chippendale Printers and a Bronze pencil for Sydney Writers’ Festival, while US, Sydney won a Gold pencil for SBS in Brand Broadcast Design.
The evening’s highest honor, Best of Show, went to the team of Masashi& Hal & Magico & Masayoshi/USA for their music video forthe song “Hibi No Neiro” (Tone of Everyday) by the Japanese pop-band,Sour. The groundbreaking video was shot entirely via Webcam andfeatures friends and fans from all over the world performingsynchronized moves.
Other winners include HBO “Cube” by BBDO/New York, the “Clocks” outdoorbillboard for Solidarité Sida by BETC Euro RSCG/Paris and “The TrillionDollar Poster Campaign” for The Zimbabwean byTBWA\Hunt\Lascaris/Johannesburg.

One Show Design kicked-off One Club’s Creative Week NYC tonight.Creative Week NYC is a celebration of creativity in advertising,design, digital media and the arts. The One Club and the Creative WeekBoard of Advisors invite all organizations involved in the creativelife of New York City. The One Club will also host a series of eventsduring Creative Week. Their award shows, One Show Design (May 10) theOne Show (May 13) and One Show Interactive (May 14) award the finestadvertising and design created throughout the year.
On May 12-13 the One Club’s 2nd annual Creative unConference will bringtogether three hundred advertising creatives and digital artists in aflexible, participant driven format to share ideas and exploreopportunities that are emerging in the shifting media landscape.
