Who judges these awards?
No disrespect to Droga5 because they will totally dominate eventually. Guaranteed.
But really? Already?
It will be interesting to see how Adnews, Australian Creative and CB will rank them.
Congrats Droga5. This is only the beginning. Nobby, you’re looking quite svelte!
Jeremy Deller’s work on ‘The regulars’ was fantastic
They should stick to reporting on advertising instead of judging it.
That Yellow stuff!? Well, call me old fashioned but….
What have Droga done to win agency of the year?
Well done D5 and BMF and Colenso.
No bitchy comments because I am in the holiday spirits.
meh… look at the previous year winners, to me it’s not a huge swinging indicator of the future of advertising.
Jeez.Outstanding.Krazy Endeavour.
More than JWT…
Best Job shafted again by its countrymen. I find it funny that the world celebrates that campaign yet Australians seem to want it to go away. For the record, well done Brisbane. You’ve done some of us proud.
There’s no way in hell that VB spot was the best ad this year. Good as it was, the Pure Waters spot killed it in that category alone.
Crap!
In all seriousness, who judged this. It’s all over the map. Best Job got shafted. DDB Melbourne beat out Clems Melbourne?? I’m not even going to start with the D5 thing. They’ve done well but the work just isn’t good enough yet. Sorry.
I get the sense that half the people making negative comments here on who did and didn’t win – actually doesn’t understand what goes into winning these awards.
From experience, it is more than a subjective nod as to which agency did the ‘best’ work.
Then again, why would that matter?
Oh and I understand that the Boags work wasn’t even entered… Go figure!!!
Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize. Pre-emptive strike!
bloody well done BMF, you deserve it!
How does a NSW agency (BMF) win NSW AotY, then get beaten out by another NSW agency (Droga5) for overall Agency of the Year?
It’s a game.
You either play it or you don’t.
12:40.
It’s called picking up a minor award.
It’s like a boxer being the champion of NSW and the Australian champion also being from NSW.
One holds an inferior title.
But I get your point.
I hear it is judged by clients that don’t have a axe to grind.
Shameful.
They should let it be judged anonymously online by a handful of bitter cowards who pretend to be many people.
well done bmf. excellent. you deserve it
Was the vegimite brand manager judging?
How does Mercer Bell win DM agency of the Year – pretty sure they didn’t pick up any ADMA Awards.
These things are for chumps that write better case studies than they do ads.
Chump on.
