Clemenger Proximity Melbourne hires Bidenko
Clemenger Proximity Melbourne has announced the appointment of Peter Bidenko as the agency’s new creative director.
Bidenko joins the agency after returning from Dubai, where he was ECD of Impact Proximity and CD of Impact BBDO. In Australia he has worked with Tequila, Lowe Hunt, iLeo (which he helped take to 2nd best in the world as measured by the Won Report) as well as Wunderman and Ogilvy.
Bidenko was the integrated CD on Lynxjet and writer and CD of the highlysuccessful Virgin Credit Card launch using Richard Branson. Bothcampaigns won the WON Report’s most awarded worldwide direct campaign -Virgin in 2004 and Lynxjet in 2006).
Head of Clemenger Proximity Melbourne, Elizabeth Fulcher, says Bidenko’s appointment marks an important change at Proximity: “We have strengthened Proximity’s focus on data, digital and direct. We see the most important of these as data, as it is the basis of real insight from actual customer behaviour, program-based (not just campaign) work, and measurement,” she said.
“Pete’s passion for ideas, his deep experience in the direct specialisation and ability to achieve seamless integration across all channels make him a wonderful addition to the Proximity and 474 St Kilda Rd teams,” Fulcher said.
To help realise the increased focus on digital, data and direct, the agency has also beefed up its planning department, welcoming Agnes Martinez as the new CRM planner from Proximity Singapore. Agnes joins James Greaney’s planning team that also includes the customer experience expert, Anna Pearce.
