The current NSW committee as it stands is:

Treasurer – Alex Tran (Buzzfeed)

Secretary – Dani McComber (Haystac)

Jack Hale (CHE Proximity)

Marina Vasilieva (Host/Havas Australia)

Delia Liang (Innocean)

The new committee structure and divided leadership roles sets the foundation for a huge 2019, with a continued focus on quality events and partnerships.

Says Rigg: “Krystina and I are so lucky to be a part of such a talented and motivated team. With so much in store for 2019, we can’t wait to see the diverse skill set come together to deliver an amazing calendar of events.”

Both Rigg and Batt joined the team in early 2018 and worked closely with the plans set in place by Saintilan, and previous president Alistair Stephenson.

Says Batt of the handover: “Chloe and Alistair were instrumental in shaping YB NSW to be a trusted voice for young people in creative industries. We are so excited to build on this foundation and have big plans set in place for 2019, with a vision to offer more than just events to our members.”

After a successful 2018 including multiple sell-out events such as Trivia, Innovate or Die, For Good’s Sake and Brands that Broke Through, as well as their participation in Gruen’s The Pitch, the NSW committee are dedicated to their state vision for 2019, providing more tangible support and learning opportunities for those new to the industry. Another key focus for 2019 is tackling conversations surrounding mental health within creative industries, which will shape upcoming events, content and partnerships.

“YB NSW supported the Mentally Healthy survey of the creative and advertising industry in 2018. As a community we are committed to using these findings to positively shape the conversation around mental health, particularly with those new to the industry.”

Youngbloods NSW would also like to acknowledge the contribution of Saintilan in her tenure as president.
