Young kiwi filmmaker Hugh Mitton claims the top prize in Coke’s worldwide crowdsourcing contest

Screen shot 2011-06-14 at 7.23.57 PM.jpgAspiring young kiwi filmmaker Hugh Mitton claimed the top prize in a worldwide crowdsourcing contest from Coca Cola, pocketing US$30,000 cash. The competition, which was run on the eYeka co-creation platform over 4 months, asked participants to create an illustration, photograph or video of the brand to depict ‘energizing refreshment’. The contest saw over 2,600 entries submitted across the three mediums.

This is Mitton’s second major crowdsource win, having taken first place in a similar contest for Voltaren Emulgel last year. He has just started an internship at Ogilvy Wellington.
