Berents and Dawson, hell yeah!!
those skittles ads are genius
What the fuck is the 2008 Young Guns Agency of the Year.
Is everyone at Colenso under 30?
Young Guns was so much more fun before.
Can I have Cuz’s children?
Berents & Dawson, I miss you both. Congratulations.
The skittles work is further proof, if anyone still needed it, that youth is absolutely zero barrier to producing world-class work.
In fact, for an industry that actively discriminates in favour of youth, I’ve always found YoungGuns a bit weird. Especially the whole ‘under 30’ bit. I mean, it’s not like under 30’s need their own show because they can’t win anyplace else.
You don’t see elite swimmers entering U/20 competitions as well as winning gold at the Olympics.
Making young guns under 25 would make more sense to me. It’d be for creatives who only graduated 3-5 years ago, so they’d most likely still be juniors. A 29yo could have been working in the industry for nearly a decade, already be a senior, and have six lions to her name.
In ad terms, 29yo isn’t young. It’s middle-aged.
But then, if they dropped 5 years off the age cut-off, they’d halve their entries and halve their revenue. Which no show in the world is going to want to do.
Before, when you were under 30 and could enter?
12:41, don’t forget the CD, the brilliant Gerry Graf who ain’t 11.
It takes a village…
12.41…
“A 29yo could have been working in the industry for nearly a decade, already be a senior, and have six lions to her name.”
Pfft girls don’t win lions! She might have six babies by 29, but not six lions.

You do make a good point.
