Here’s your big chance to do something memorable telstra.
Victim of the GFC. That’s not what I heard.
NIce one.
Nice shot Yanni, you look very serious.
Now that’s a broody young man.
Can’t wait until he meets the fifty young girls from Telstra who crowd into every presentation and all seem to have an ‘opinion.’
Hehe.
Nice work Yanni.
That’s really good news for Telstra’s other rostered agencies.
Just seems strange to have Chris James and Yanni Pounartzis on the same press release. 2 people at the polar-opposite ends of the talent scale!
Good luck Yanni.
Don’t let the World Of Blue bring you down.
Good one Yanni. A good mind, great eye and not an egomaniac.
So the big plan didn’t quite work.
Yanni stop, you’re penetrating my soul.
Im sure he will inject creativity and sense of humor into what is currently a dull and bland brand.
Good man. Now up with the big boys.
Good luck to you Yanniman.
Oh, and Chris. Good luck too.
Yanni has a midas touch – he lifted the profile at that brave place, and will do the same for Telstra. …too bad for brave and the GFC though
Hmmmmm. Brave…profile.???…was he at The Palace?…they kept that quiet.
Anyone know what happened to Gordy Higgins then? Thought the Telstra CD gig was his cross to bear …
The worst account in Australia at the worst agency in Australia. Courageous.
LOL @ “Brave…profile.???”
Not sure Yanni is either a Telstra sort of guy or an O&M (Singos) sort of guy.
They don’t want cute ideas. They want anthems and wallpaper.
How refreshing. Someone with the balls big enough to make a difference. Watch this space doubters. You’re the man Yanni.
Aaaahhh 2.28.
Jealousy is a curse. Now back to writing those recruitment ads at your 10 man agency that is about to go under.
Dollars.
Great comment Warren (not). Would you like to clarify your oh so important position?
Good on you Yanni – clearly the sociopaths at your last agency are still following your every move with jealous interest.
Well done Yanni. Now you can afford some new clothes instead of those really cool second hand threads you been getting around in :o)
jj
Many congrats Yanni…. good for you and good for Telstra!
Brave is amazing. Just you wait and see. An innovative ‘think-tank’ apparently.
Just say yes to everything they demand. Don’t even think about pushing back. Telstra is riddled with junior marketers who would know good creative if it slapped them between the eyes. From Brave to ……. ?

Judging by your comment, you’re not at the level where you have access to senior clients – the ones who actually make the decisions. You’re at the mercy of minions and it shows through your frustration. Anyone with a good advertising brain knows how get to the decision makers – they’re the creatives who make things happen.
If only it was that simple, 2:13. Not everyone who’s talented has the hide or strength of a rhinoceros, or access to the real decision-makers. Including accomplished seniors.

fair enough statement
Your photo is very ‘Zoolander’ Yanni is that a sign of things to come?
if you can handle the CD’s cherry picking of briefs, nepotism and suits with more power than the average CD… you deserve every last buck.
