Welcome to advertising.
Isn’t that Brave’s 3rd CD in under 2 year? What are they doing?
Did some good things there,
considering.
And a genuine bloke.
Good luck to him.
One door closes…
Yansters is the mansters.
Get him now. He’ll go quick.
Bad luck Yanni. You’ll be right mate
Scary when talent like that gets dismissed. You’ll get picked up in a flash Yanni. Onwards and upwards.
Yes Yanni, “Welcome to advertising”.
I’m sure in your 10 or more years (guessing, probably more) in the industry, this is your first exposure to the eccentricities of our profession. Luckily, the moron who left the first comment was able to make himself feel the ‘big man’ of advertising by leaving that wonderful welcome, when he himself is probably an office junior, about to go out and pick up the CDs dry-cleaning.
So Brave doesn’t need a CD? That’s pretty Brave.
Unless they are going to use Dexter off Perfect Match. He’ll work for batteries.
Man, Yanni turned that place right around… and extremely quickly – I’m shocked he could turn something so bad into something almost decent, some great work too! I feel sorry for you man.
Is Guy and the other guy’s still there?
Brave should go back to Manly now……and get rid of the name Brave. They are far from that.
BYE BRAVE
No, Guy’s no longer there either. I think they’re down to one team. They got rid of all their other creatives.
To the other Anonymous…nah, Yanni’s been around longer than that and he’s had a few tough spots. But he’s solid and he’ll be right.
Is anybody still there? Not a great culture from what I’m hearing.
Just 4 managers, suits and one creative team.
I think most of the clients will bail as well. What a silly move, they should have at least tried to include the people they fired in the restructuring by dropping their pay in return for equity in the business they did so much for.
Agree 3:03
Stupid move.
A bunch of creatives talking about what business model the company should have taken to avoid the retrenchment. Further with no information. This blog continues to amaze me.

Judging by that comment, you’re not a creative. Sounds like you’re just a simple profit taker.
Does anyone do any ads at brave? or just film clips and truck painting?
BRAVErage
Yanni has now left the building, let’s watch the clients follow…
Good luck Brave! The only calls you’ll be getting now are wake up ones.
Yanster you should call all the Brave Clients. They must think you are a god. They must be all so upset you have been fired
Yanster, more time for us to paint. That’s true creative. How many have you sold?
10:27, if I remember Yanni brought in the telegraph and a whole bunch of other stuff. Why wouldn’t you give him equity in the business, for a reduced pay than fire him and peeve off the clients?
Not all creative’s suck at business, some solve business problems.
Great point 2:07 why would you fire anyone who actually did all that. You wouldn’t, would you. There must be more to this……….
Wow are you guys for real? Is this school. Move the hell on children and holster those egos.
He wasn’t fired.
Is it just me or does anyone else think they might know who Anonymous 2:50 is????
Why does every blog on this site turn into a festering ugly bitch session from the T-shirt and torn jeans brigade? Look at any agency staff photo and imagine any of you in the same photo …anywhere…10 years from now. That’s right…the agency you currently work for will have gotten rid of you too. Advertising as a career has a short shelf life and even shorter shelf life during a tough economic times when agencies want more for their dollar. Suck it up guys. In an industry with over 30% unemployment rate at least you have a job…at the moment. Stop bitchin’ and get back to work.
It’s great when the bitter suits left behind get involved – eh “Neil Armstrong”? Brave will slide back into obscurity without Yanni
2:19, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have other interests.
It’s ‘Welcome to advertising’ here.
You clearly misunderstand irony. And for the record, I have 30 years experience including the best agencies in Australia and London, have been a CD and have been fired many, many times.
Where does that put you, exactly?
And ‘Sue Cherie’ 7:51.
They are truly sad.
I reckon this blog could be better conducted on the Brave intranet as most of you work there and are defending your failures. Brave has had a very high turnover of both clients and staff the 5 partners are the only constant factor – draw your own conclusions.
I have just read this long list of comments and two things come to mind. 1. someone or someones friends are very upset that someone has been retrenched. 2. If Brave is such a basket case, why would they care.
come on this can’t be over!! I guess it is. Oh well, lets move on to something more interesting. I am following Pink on twitter and she’s up to some crazy stuff with Rove. Now this is more like it.
No one knows who i am no one!!! Ha ha ha ha!
more typical brave bullshit
I’ve worked at Brave, never again, that place actually is the main reason why I’m leaving the Adworld. Do not work there!!! Trust me!!!
