‘Would Adland Lie to You?’ Untold stories of the ad industry to be revealed by QLD Youngbloods

THEY DID WHAT? How insane; the advertising industry sure has some wild stories and for the first time Youngbloods QLD are bringing these untold tales to light in this all new game show style event. Who knows what secrets will surface.

Queensland’s “Would Adland Lie to You – Party Edition” is set to be hosted on Friday 17 November 2023 at the Loft West End, with Queensland’s biggest ad legends coming along to spill the beans on their wildest experiences in the industry.

QLD Youngbloods co-chair Justin Carter expressed his excitement to see this idea come to life as the Queensland team continues to innovate and curate unique experiences: “This is just one of those events that takes it to the next level and offers guests an entertaining experience whilst simultaneously guiding them through the ins and outs of the industry. The team have been working extremely hard on this one and I can’t wait to share it with Queensland’s young professional AMPR network.”

QLD Youngbloods co-chair Raina Ahmed added that this event will be a fun and interactive way to network in the industry, without the added pressure: “Networking is one of those things that is so important for professional development, but it can often become overwhelming or plain exhausting. This event is a great way to get in and network, whilst having some fun and without feeling the pressure to lead all the conversations.”

How does it work?

Picture a game show type event, just like the telly favourite ‘Would I Lie to You?’. A panel of three top-notch Adland legends who will spin their yarns. But here’s the catch – some of these stories are as real as a Brisbane summer while others are total bullocks.  It’s up to you and your fellow Adlanders to separate fact from fiction.
