Pffft. What’s next, stack our shelves an win? Jeez I wonder if Woolies is now starting to question whether a proper, nuts and bolts retail agency might have been a better way to go. I am because this totally misunderstands the extremely time poor shopper.
The brief said we need a big sticky idea. This is not it.
Nothing to do with the work itself, but I noticed that the discounts can only be used from 12 sept to 18 sept. 6 measly days!
Can you imagine all the cranky shoppers arguing with the poor check out chicks on the 19th having plastered all their purchases with out of date stickers?
@Fine print, good point. Turn up on the 19th the buy all the now discounted stock they can’t sell because people have put stickers on them.
@Shotmug
Do you reckon someone in the promo department is shitting themselves right now as a result of this revelation?
The joke about the labels being sticky completely takes over – that’s a big negative.
Who was the bright spark in marketing the let this dumb idea go through to the consumer???
Another D5 stinker… ok, it was a shit brief, but seriously, you guys are supposed to be better than this, no?
Cause each time I hear “sticky specials” I feel funny in a naughty place.
