There’s something admittedly nice about this campaign and the family moments, but it’s kind of let down by the bog standard ‘price’ section. Surely there’s a better way to integrate the price message that doesn’t spoilt the spot so much?
Casting is so hard in Australia ie really good actors who will do commercials. The guy who plays the father in this spot is a gem.He makes me smile every time I see it.And it is a funny little script.
I just wish I’d had a dad like him when I was growing up.
Who is the dad? I feel like I really know him!
Is it Keith Agius?
Yep
This is retail but not as we know it.No one screaming at me, no horrible songs.
Agree on price point.
Amazing how many of those M&Cers have worked together for over 10 years.
Saw this with my husband who remarked on the role played by the father in the TVC.Such a different portrayal of dad in an ad.Not the usual dad is a bubbling idiot. This one shops and cooks -just like my husband.Well done woolies for breaking out of the stereotypes.
I must agree with Sean – the guy who plays the father in this Woolies campaign is just great. So real, human and fatherly.
The bloke doing the woolworths add strikes me as a fuckwit
Who plays Mum
As Mick said who is the mum actress who says were out of coffee in the advert?
Who is the young guy who says, ” Good thing we like omelettes.”
I bet this father bloke never even shops at Woolies, he annoys the crap out of me each time it’s in my face around peak news times; and whats with the teenager eating his meal from a bowl in the family SUV?
How much do you want to bet? He’s my cousin and I know for a fact he shops at Woolworths. Bye.
Who plays the mum in this campaign?I I like her in the other add when they are at the checkout and she says oh deodorant. The daughter irritates me though in the car when she screams out and yoghurt.
Is that Keith Agius from Wymwood?
Trying to find out whether it is Chuck Berry singing the latest Woolworth song2018 and what is the song.
It’s Chuck alright, I just want to know what its called. It’s a belter!
Who is the young man who doesnt have a wallet in the ad. Is he related to the girl in the StGeorge commercial, and in the movie about the dog guarding the Australian penguins
Its one of my fave adds, and I want to know who the actors are. They play the roles very well. The latest is best, where dad is teaching oldest son (late teens/early 20’s) how to shop. Also like the other ad where the teen girl asks whats for dinner, and smart mother says either ‘are you cooking?’ or ‘depending on what you cook’, and teen girl not too sure what to make of comment. Brilliant!! Girl aged around 16-18.
If my daughter drank straight from the bottle of juice in the fridge….I wouldnt be saying..I’ll get some..I’d tell her if you do that again….there’ll be no more juice
The teenage girl drinking from a 2 litre? container straight from the fridge is disgusting. If we had ever done that as children we would have been severely chastised. This is 2020. Have we not learnt anything. How dare Woolworths screen this ad during a pandamic.I would like to see this ad removed from my tv screen.I find it most offensive.
Really, this is actually how kids are. Like to see some reality in ads
Quite a few people are asking for the names of the actors in the Woolies family ads. Why aren’t they getting a reply. What’s the big secret? I actually love the ads and think all of the family members are just great, especially Dad. I would also like to know who the actors are.
Why do they have a man who is old enough to be the grandfather of the kids in the role of dad
I really like the woolworths adds i feel as if i know them
Why have they have an actor old enough to be the kids grandfather in the role of Dad?
Why does the lady who does the Woolies specials ads on tele say “stewer” instead of “store?”
Should be stamped on actors forehead. ‘Because Im paid hamsomely to say it’
Get real do you expext Australian consumers to belieeve this C…….
