WINIFRED CELEBRATES TWO YEAR MILESTONE

In just two years, independent production studio Winifred has spearheaded a market shift that celebrates the philosophy to create work by thinking and making with no traditional boundaries.

Winifred co-founder, Celia Nicholas (pictured), who has more than 25 years’ experience behind the scenes across film making, design and VFX/post production disciplines, shifted her focus in 2017 beyond the traditional advertising space and positioned herself and Winifred at the very forefront of an agile and multi-disciplinary production model.

Says Celia: “I’ve loved the challenge of a start-up, building the business from the ground up through a strong referral network, some great client wins and the support of our brother company Alfred. We’ve been lucky enough to lead exceptional projects across a diverse range of outputs from traditional live action, animation and visual effects jobs to holographic and AR experiences. I’m inspired by the limitless potential where storytelling meets craft and technology and our flexible model opens us up to deliver premium end-to-end creative execution with local and global specialists tailored to each brief.

“We curate and connect our clients and partners with film makers, photographers, digital artists and technologists, building the perfect team really is at the heart of everything we do. We’re passionate about the limitless potential of the right team for each brief and embracing local and global relationships. Artists love to experiment, and with so many new tools and ways of working being created so fast it makes for a wonderful time to be an agile business.”

Winifred is proud to work alongside a diverse client portfolio, collaborating on projects across the arts, entertainment, sport, lifestyle, health care and technology sectors. Leading brands that Winifred has worked with include: Sydney Opera House, Google, Adidas, Samsung, Netflix, Foxtel, Fox Sports, Donna Hay, Merivale, Lion Co and Diageo.

Winifred has been recognised alongside their good friends at We Are Social for one of their flagship projects for Netflix “Queer Eye YASS Australia” in local and international award categories. The bespoke episode to launch season 2 of the Queer Eye reality series was awarded an Honoree Webby and was a finalist in the Shorty awards and AWARD awards.
