Verizon and Barbie team up to transform the DreamHouse into the ultimate “StreamHouse” in new holiday campaign via Ogilvy New York
In the lead-up to Christmas, Campaign Brief is shining a spotlight on the season’s most anticipated campaigns from around the globe. As these campaigns roll out, we’ll be rounding up the highlights to keep you in the loop.
This holiday season, Verizon and Barbie are teaming up to turn the iconic Barbie DreamHouse into the Barbie StreamHouse, showcasing Verizon Home Internet’s capabilities in a first-of-its-kind collaboration. Led by Ogilvy New York chief creative officer Aussie expat Samira Ansari, the campaign brings Barbie to the forefront of Verizon’s 360-degree holiday marketing blitz, featuring content and activations for fans across digital, TV, social media, and billboards.
At the heart of the campaign is a life-sized Barbie StreamHouse pop-up, set to open in New York City’s SoHo district from December 12–15. The installation offers an immersive holiday experience for fans, featuring interactive games, exclusive Verizon and Barbie merchandise, photo ops, and shopping inspiration for this season’s must-have gifts, including Verizon’s Gizmo Watch and the HMD Barbie Phone.
The initiative also supports local communities through partnerships with the Barbie Dream Gap Project and Girls, Inc. New York City, inviting 100 students to explore the StreamHouse and enjoy a hands-on look at Verizon technology. Nearby students from Verizon Innovative Learning schools will also participate, enjoying holiday gifts and gaining insights into tech-powered learning.
As part of the campaign, Verizon highlights its family-centered services, including Verizon Family, the new Gizmo Watch 3, and customizable myPlan options with special holiday promotions. With the Barbie StreamHouse experience, Verizon and Barbie offer a holiday blend of nostalgia, connectivity, and interactive fun, promising to make this season’s festivities brighter for fans of all ages.
