Vale Yancy “Smooth Arms” Murillo – Studio Manager/Head of Fun ~ A massive part of the Melbourne industry

Saturday saw the very sudden and very shocking loss of Yancy “Smooth Arms” Murillo. A massive part of the Melbourne industry for over 20 years, he was a designer and head of studio at Smart, Y&R, Cummins&Partners and most recently Saatchi & Saatchi. For anyone lucky enough to have met him or worked with him, his easy smile, infectious laughter, terrible jokes and warm heart made an incredible and lasting impression.
Husband, father, dancer, rapper, graffiti artist, designer, studio manager, DJ, head instigator of fun, fashion icon and friend to everyone he met, Yancy was talented at many things. But above all, he was a true original who will be sorely missed by many, many people, not least of all his family.
His childhood sweetheart, Mary, and their beautiful daughter, Mavis, are beginning to navigate life without him. If you would like to show your love and support for Yancy and his family, contributing to this fund will go directly to his Mary and Mavis.
