Vale Steve Jobs: One of the ‘Crazy Ones’

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

This just sums up our industry.
Countess comments for useless commercials and only two comments for a true creative genius.

The greatest ad man. The greatest brand builder. The greatest advertiser who ever lived. Vale Steve Jobs.
“No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

@ MEEEE
So true! This man created tools for us that revolutionised our Industry!!!!
As far as creativity goes, he fostered Pixar which has brought immense joy to millions.
He was a creative powerhouse. He was inspired and insightful. And knew how to build a brand.
Here’s to you Steve, i wish i had half your gumption.
Steve Jobs lived his whole life like he was racing against time. He died too early, but by god he made the most of what he had. What an absolutely amazing guy.
What do you say about a man who transformed our industry? He’s one of very few people I’ve never met that have impacted and changed my life and my career. Steve has given us the creative tools we need to achieve amazing things, it’s humbling to realise how far we have to go to live up to the standards he set. But we keep trying. RIP one of our greatest visionaries.
oh no, I love steve jobs.
So sad, that Apple has lost it’s Creative Director.
Now essentially the suits are in charge. I really hope they find someone who has an idea about creativity to lead the company.
Champion, in the true sense of the word.
It wasn’t just what Steve did that was so astounding. It was who he was. He gave so much of himself back, taught people all the tools you need to be just as great if not greater than him. One of the evolutionary genius’s that drove the human race forward.
My condolences to his family and his friends, in particular Lee Clow who must be devastated right now. A very sad day in history.
Like you sycophants ever even met the man? How trendy of you.
@’Here’s to the man who “ruined” typography’ missed an opportunity. When the Apple Macintosh launched, you could hear the sound of Mike Chandler groaning clear across town.
@ Bah Humbug
The world needs more people like Steve and less people like you. Think about that when you look in the mirror.
I believe that when Mac made inroads into the Ad industry Steve Jobs was at Next. He came back into Apple in the mid 90s when they purchased Next. But Apple had already replaced every typographer and retoucher by then. So we can’t blame Steve for ruining Mike Chandler’s retirement fund.
Any Jobs jokes yet? with Americas unemployment so high there has to be a Jobs joke somewhere.
