Vale Andrew Slattery, Creative Director at The Sideways Theory, Adelaide: “Talented, audacious and bodacious, he challenged the rules”

The South Australian ad industry will be shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of Andrew Slattery, creative director of The Sideways Theory.
Said The Sideways Theory director Jason Hollamby: “As my dear friend and colleague, I have loved working with and knowing Andrew for many years and finally had the opportunity to make him the Creative Director at The Sideways Theory.
“Talented, audacious and bodacious, he challenged the rules and fought his way with unwavering tenacity, and charm. Andrew was the perfect and only choice for this role. It was a title that he had earned and proven for himself many times over his career. He suffered for the best ideas and worked the tools like a magician with no task too small.”
Hollamby says Slattery’s creative portfolio is a legacy that is undeniably brilliant and his dedication to the work, both in his public-facing and in private pursuits, can not be understated: “Andrew’s most recent campaign is currently underway and will be dedicated to him. It will come into fruition as he had intended it to be, without compromise. The role of Creative Director belongs only to Andrew and he will never be replaced. Hearts are breaking.”
