Unlisted brings Ultraman to the table in new campaign for McDonald’s China via W+K Shanghai
Not all heroes wear capes… some just really believe in beef. Unlisted has teamed up with Wieden+Kennedy Shanghai to bring a beefy, bold, and brilliantly over-the-top vision to life for McDonald’s China – calling in the legendary Ultraman for a crossover campaign that asks: Do you believe in the power of beef?
Under the direction of Rudo, the mixed media spot blends 2D animation with mouth- watering live-action burger shots, creating a retro-futurist fever dream that’s as colourful as it is delicious.
From hungry office-workers to serious power moves, the spot reimagines Ultraman’s universe with a fast-food twist. Anchored by a catchy jingle and a hit of pure nostalgia, it’s a love letter to pop culture – and to patties cherished the world over.
