Uncanny Valley celebrates its new music and sound studios in Glebe, Sydney with event
Industry folk gathered together last Thursday at Nude Private, upstairs at the Australian Youth Hotel in Glebe, to celebrate the opening of Uncanny Valley’s new music and sound studios.
It’s been a big year for Uncanny Valley – from modest beginnings in a renovated Tamarama rehearsal studio, music producer/composer Justin Shave (The Potbelleez) and producer/music supervisor Charlton Hill are now proud to launch their Glebe premises with 4 studios, live room and vocal booth.
Sharing the space with award-winning audio post house Plasma (headed by industry guru Andy Wilson), the comprehensive team have amassed a high profile portfolio of original music and audio projects across all mediums since their conception in 2010.
Joining UV this month, fresh from postings in the UK, is gun sound designer/broadcast engineer Matt Perrott as well as orchestral, experimental composer David Barber. Along with long time collaborator Xavier Fijac (Decoder Ring/Heaps Decent) the UV team is well armed for 2013.
