Bauer Media has cancelled the 2020 TV Week Logie Awards due to the coronavirus pandemic. As a result the annual $100,000 ‘Most Popular TV Commercial’ competition will not go ahead
The 62nd TV WEEK Logie Awards were scheduled for Sunday, June 28, at The Star on the Gold Coast. For the second year running, television’s night of nights was due to recognise excellence in advertising with the Most Popular Television Commercial category. The award celebrates the best, most creative and entertaining TV commercials produced for Australian audiences. CB was one of the judges for the category.

Okay, not that I’m a Logies fan, but this is a wasted opportunity. This is an awards show specifically or television. It’s copped a lot of flak of late. Not having a live audience is an opportunity to hold the awards in an interesting, novel way; something to showcase the potential of free-to-air.
