Tribal DDB Melbourne promotes Ben Kidney to GM role; Rebecca Bayly to executive producer
DDB Group Melbourne has announced two promotions within its Tribal DDB team.
Ben Kidney moves to the role of general manager and Rebecca Bayly to executive producer.
These two new roles have been established following recent growth in Tribal DDB’s work across new and existing clients.
Kidney’s promotion recognises his success in the role of business development director for Tribal DDB over the past year, during which time he has been responsible for new business and overseen a number of new senior appointments and changes within the business.
Kidney will maintain these responsibilities in his new role and assume day-to-day management for the agency’s digital operations across clients including Telstra, Treasury Wine Estates, Origin, AAMI, Apia and Hocking Stuart.
He brings first class digital experience to his new role, having worked on some of the world’s largest digital brands including Google, SEEK, GE, EasyJet and Hewlett Packard.
Says DDB Group Melbourne’s managing director Andrew Little: “Ben’s promotion is in recognition of his hard work and contribution to growing our digital capabilities and business.
He’s assembled one of the best digital teams in the market and is a great asset to the agency. We look forward to seeing even greater success for Tribal DDB under his stewardship.”
Says Kidney: “I feel very fortunate to be leading such accomplished team here at Tribal DDB Melbourne and to be part of such an esteemed global digital agency network. My key focus is to continue bringing outstanding creative to life using new, innovative technologies that will have a meaningful and positive impact on our clients’ business.”
Additionally, Rebecca Bayly has been promoted into the newly created position of executive producer, testimony to the work she’s delivered since joining the agency in 2011. Bayly’s career spans over ten years in digital agencies in Australia and abroad and has led award winning campaigns across a range of categories, most notably New York Festivals, London International Awards and One Show Interactive.
In her new role Bayly will manage a team of six producers and her focus will lie sharply on project delivery, process implementation and team development.
Kidney added: “From a project management and production point of view, our commitment to clients is flawless execution and Rebecca plays a critical role leading this. We have big plans for the future and Rebecca will play a critical leadership role in our business.”
