TRACEY BURNS TO DEPART PALACE FOR LOVE
The Campaign Palace, Sydney team leader Tracey Burns has resigned to take the managing director role at Love Communications, Sydney. She fills the vacuum left after the departure of Glen Campbell to Ideaworks a few months back. The departure of Burns comes only weeks after The Palace Sydney managing director Lindsey Evans announced she would be leave the agency early next year and today’s announcement that national chief executive Mark Mackay would be leaving to start up his own shop, based in Melbourne.
Mackay is being replaced by Ogivy Cape Town managing director Jacques Burger.
Says Love executive chairman, Andrew Davie: “We want to build Love into something very unique, not just another agency. This requires the best talent in the industry. Tracey is the perfect fit for us, she’s got terrific leadership experience, is highly regarded by her peers, management and clients and is a great addition to our new management team. We are thrilled to have her onboard as the MD of the new Love.”
Says Lindsey Evans: “Tracey is a huge personality and one The Palace will sorely miss. She has a resilience, spark and infectious laugh that can not easily be replaced. Lucky Love.”

That makes the new MD and joint CDs of the Palace Melbourne South African.
What the?
Team Leader? Sounds like summer camp.
Not summer camp…….no…….it’s a call centre.
i’m sure there’ll be much more than just an “infectous laugh” that will be missed over there. she is unique in that she seamlessly combines being a leader, motivator and a genuine, real person. lucky love indeed
A huge loss for The Palace… it’ll be more than her infectious laugh and big personality that will be missed…
It’s great recognition for an absolutely lovely person. I am sure she will do great things.
Congrats! To great things ahead
Huge loss, and not just because she’s a great personality. That woman can lead and inspire a team like no one I’ve seen before. She’s always the person put forward in a crisis and allocated the toughest clients. Not only does she earn their respect, they often end up on her very long list of friends. She’s smart, she’s authentic, she’s a bloody top chick. Congratulations Burnsie, Love will be loving you longtime.
I think it’s get out whilst you can. The Palace are not the agency they used to be and how long before the clients start asking questions? Or they’ll just come out with another ground breaking Bonds ad and win Cannes.
I’ll give her 9 months working for the number crunchers at Photon. Without Siiiiiiiiiiiiimon Reynolds, Love is pointless.
6.10pm Beautifully put.
Fabulous Burnsy, and great appointment Andrew. Good luck.
PS: Trace, you’re buying lunch x
