Saville’s comedy work includes We Can Be Heroes featuring Chris Lilley, the short films ‘Roy Höllsdotter Live’, ‘Rhonda and Nigel’ and a host of sketch comedy.  He also wrote and directed the feature film ‘Noise’ and more recently directed the three part miniseries of Tim Winton’s ‘Cloudstreet’, and two episodes of the highly anticipated ABC drama series ‘The Slap’ based on the novel by Christos Tsiolkas.

Although Saville originally worked as an art director in a Melbourne Agency, he has spent the last decade refining his writing and directing skills and is now considered one of the leading comedy and drama directors in Australia.

Says executive producer Craig Griffin: “I am overjoyed that Matt has decided to join The Directors Group, he has a unique set of skills and his ability to work with either comedic or dramatic scripts is quite brilliant.”
