Thirsty Camel launches ‘Esky of Cash’ lottery styled promotion in VIC, NSW and TAS with Network TEN via Twenty20 Melbourne
Thirsty Camel has today launched the “Esky of Cash” lottery styled promotion in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania via Twenty20 Melbourne.
The consumer promotion will see Thirsty Camel own Hump Day’s in October and November with three “Esky of Cash” jackpots going off on-air on Wednesday nights exclusively on Network Ten.
Thirsty Camel’s Esky of Cash will see three lucky winners walk away with up to $20,000 of cold hard cash over three weeks. (October 31 – $5000, November 7 – $10,000 and November 14- $20,000).
The draws will take place on Channel 10 and their regional subsidiary networks from 8:30pm on each Hump Day and the “Esky of Cash” campaign has extensive media support including TV, radio, press and online.
The campaign introduces customers to Thirsty Camel’s Hump Club loyalty program which, since being launched last year has been a successful marketing tactic in the brand’s strategy to grow its loyal customer base.
Says Leah Menzies, Thirsty Camel’s marketing manager: “We are coming into one of the busiest times of the year for our bottleshops and we wanted to capitalise on this opportunity to grow our customer data base. The “Esky of Cash” campaign draws on the Camel’s irreverent brand personality and it shines through in the Esky of Cash draws, shot entirely on location in a desert oasis.”
The campaign directs entrants to thirstycamel.com.au and will be activated through 180 Thirsty Camel locations in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania.

I wonder if they got permission to use the brand name ‘Esky’?
Shoot me in the face.
20 grand in cash would barely fill a kid’s lunchbox.
An esky full of cash… that’d be about 10 mill. Unless they’re paying you in $1 coins.
Stop moving while I reload.
Are people still trying to imitate Old Spice, thinking that it will be cool and funny?
Sorry, just a crap “zany” promotional presenter, no real idea here.
Why PR stuff like this?
To me…wow 20k would be great. Where else could you get that kind of cash for nothing. Personally, I would be so excited and grateful for any kind of extra cash. As the old saying goes, “Never look a gift horse in the mouth”, or for this promotion, it would be a “Camel”.
