The Sony Tablet ‘S’ available online or through Australian stores from tomorrow (Tuesday 25 Oct)

Incorporating the most innovative and leading technologies from across the Sony group of companies, Sony aims to be the number two tablet manufacturer in the Australian market by 2012.

This industry-shaping device is set to open a new world of content and technology to Australians who love digital entertainment.

The Sony Tablet S offers access to millions of songs and the latest movies through Sony Entertainment Network. As the first PlayStation certified tablet, Sony Tablet owners will now be able to download games straight from the PlayStation Store.

In addition, it’s the ultimate living room companion with a universal remote and DLNA technology allowing images, videos and music to be ‘thrown’ to compatible devices.

Featuring a large, 9.4 inch high-quality display for viewing rich media content, the Sony Tablet is available in 16GB and 32GB capacities. It also boasts a unique asymmetrical design that been specifically crafted for comfort and long-term use.

Sony Tablet S boasts Android 3.1 as well as the NVIDIA Tegra2, dual-core mobile processor, weighing approximately 598g.

The Sony Tablet ‘S’ will be available to purchase online at Sony Centre stores and selected retailers from 25 October 2011.
