The Marc Edward Agency acquires competing agency Let’s – The Brand Connection Agency
National brand activations promotional agency, The Marc Edward Agency (MEA) has made a big buy for assets following the recent insolvency of competing marketing agency, Let’s – The Brand Connection Agency. The recent asset purchase has seen MEA acquire 16 years worth of intellectual property and business trademarks, in addition to employing four of Let’s previous employees to fill five key roles at its growing agency.
In a time of economic stress, MEA has watched a number of its competitors in Sydney and Melbourne close, while boasting its two biggest years on record with last Fiscal being the best in their 16 year run. The agency credits this success to being extremely client centric, highly service focused and ensuring there is always a clear ROI measure for every client & project, to monitor & deliver on.
Says Edward Kaleel, MEA CEO & CD: “Following 15 successful years in the industry, Let’s – the Brand Connection Agency has accumulated a highly valuable store of intellectual property and assets, which we have been fortunate enough to acquire.
“This significant growth in business for MEA has also required us to employ the right staff and we are excited to welcome four former members from the Let’s team, who bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience across all areas of brand, merchandising, consumer & retail promotions and experiential marketing covering social media.”
Also joining the MEA team in a senior account director role is Felicia Christopher, who is making her return to the workforce following maternity leave. With over seven years experience in managerial and then directorial roles at Let’s Launch, Christopher is credited for client wins and campaign and activation roll outs. Christopher also brings with her extensive experience in the HR department for MEA, having previously worked as industry liaison manager and internship program coordinator at leading Sydney College, APM Training Institute.
Says Kaleel: “We are extremely proud to welcome Felicia to MEA next week and have no doubt she will be a huge asset for our agency. She brings with her a strong network of industry and client relationships and we can’t wait to introduce her to our fantastic team here as we continue to build on our incredible growth and business success.”
