The Guild’s Emma Freeman awarded “Best Direction in Television” for Hawke at AFI Awards

EmmaFreeman_4.jpegThe Guild’s Emma Freeman was awarded “Best Direction in Television” for Hawke at the 2010 AFI Awards last night.

“I was so thrilled to be acknowledged by the AFI for Hawke, in particular for Richard Roxburgh receiving Best Actor. We made the film over three weeks and it was certainly a challenge,” says Freeman.

 

The story of Australia’s most controversial Prime Minister delivered a remarkable victory on winning three AFI awards for best telefeature, mini series /short run series and for best lead actor in a Television Drama. Here is a snippet.

 

“I would love to repeat the drama of performance I was able to achieve into my commercial work”.

 

Freeman’s latest project has been for CocoRosie with their upcoming single Gallows.
