The 2nd Annual Bees Awards – for Social Media – announces the 2011 nominees
After receiving three times the numbers of entries expected – Campaign Brief and Bestads are both media partners – The Bees Awards has announced the 2011 Nominees. For their 2nd year, The Bees Awards received entries from 33 countries (21 had participated on the 2010 edition).
There are six nominees from Asia and three from New Zealand that made the cut, but none from Australia.
The Asian Nominees were:

MSLGROUP Singapore for Ikea
MSLGROUP Singapore for Curiously Strong Friends
Ogilvy PR Thailand for dtac
Ogilvy PR China for Johnnie Walker
TBWA\Shanghai for McDonald’s
The New Zealand Nominees were:
Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand for NZ Army
Media Design School for ‘Grow a little foreign man’ in the Student category.
Media Design School for ‘Dreaming in a foreign language’ in the Student category.
The Bees organisers say the quality of work this year was extremely impressive which made the judging quite interesting for their 20 world experts. The list of nominees announced today represents work that is considered exceptional.
Winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony in San Francisco on May 3.
