Sunday Lunch appoints former Broadsheet EP Ellen Fraser to lead production expansion

Creative communications studio Sunday Lunch has appointed award-winning producer-director Ellen Fraser as Partner and Executive Producer, expanding its capabilities across traditional production, smartphone-shot video, branded content and photography.

“Appetite for authenticity is only set to grow as AI content floods our feeds, and Ellen’s experience finding and telling real, human stories combined with her deep understanding of online audiences positions us perfectly to meet that moment,” says Sunday Lunch founder Mia Barry.

Fraser is a proven force with a career spanning more than 15 years at top-tier creative agencies and production companies including The Monkeys (now Droga5), Clemenger BBDO and Revolver, and producing work for brands such as Qantas, Meat & Livestock Australia, AMEX, Diageo and Tourism New Zealand.

As Executive Producer at Broadsheet Media, Fraser led a reinvention of the publisher’s video arm, transforming it into a respected editorial and commercial department with a strong creative identity, launching an audience-first content slate and building a team of in-house producer-directors. She’s also a former food critic and editor who shaped Broadsheet’s Melbourne and national editorial offering, and more recently helmed The Age Good Food Guide.

“What we’re cultivating at Sunday Lunch is a truly fresh production model, one that spans strategy, shoot and social,” says Fraser. “The captive audience is a thing of the past – our focus is on building owned audiences and content ecosystems for brands through platform-native, smartphone-shot content with high production standards.”

Fraser joins Sunday Lunch at a time of rapid growth. Founded in late 2022, the company continues to solidify its presence in the food, drink, travel, and lifestyle spaces with recent strategy, social, and communications work for Food + Drink Victoria, Ovolo Hotels, Morris Hospitality, Denver & Liely, and Accor.
