Sunbeam brings a new beat to the morning coffee moment in latest campaign via Bounce

Sunbeam’s newest range of Espresso Machines are getting a high-energy national launch, with the first piece of work created as part of the brand’s new partnership with Sydney creative agency Bounce.

Reigniting the joy of the at-home coffee ritual, Bounce put Sunbeam’s latest innovation centre stage, positioning the range as a ‘real crowd pleaser’ that any coffee lover can master. In a category crowded with hyper-stylised latte art, showroom kitchens, and celebrities sipping espressos on Italian coastlines, this campaign brings coffee back to what it’s meant to be: simple, enjoyable, and unfiltered.

“We wanted to challenge the idea that making coffee at home has to be complicated or serious,” says Joel Chapman, Executive Creative Director at Bounce. “So much of coffee culture is stylised to the point of intimidation—but the truth is, it’s often the little moments, the movement, the ritual itself that make it special. This campaign is all about embracing that rhythm, without the pressure.”

Taking centre stage is a 30-second TVC, produced with long-time agency collaborators Optika. The hero spot features a soundscape created (almost) entirely from recordings of the machine itself; steam blasts, bean grinds, clicks and beeps, all mixed into a warm, feel-good track that hits like the first sip. And much like the iconic overhead hand waves that DJs love to milk – it’s a performance almost anyone can pull off… and that’s the point with the new range of Espresso Machines.

Partnering with Adelaide-based music producer Liam Quinn (Ruel, Lime Cordiale, Guy Sebastian, Peach PRC), Bounce took the Origin Sense Espresso Machine to the studio to record the custom composition. Underscoring the campaign’s core idea: coffee should feel good to make, not just to drink.

“At Sunbeam, we believe making coffee at home should be a pleasure, not a process,” says Marie Liganaris, Marketing Communications Manager at Sunbeam. “This campaign captures that sentiment in a way that feels both playful and human. Working with Bounce, we set out to reframe the ritual – less pressure, more presence – and we’re absolutely thrilled with the result.”

The campaign rolls out nationally across all channels this week.
