Sputnik hires six to meet client growth
Top interactive shop Sputnik Agency has unveiled several new faces this week following a round of hiring and promotions to manage organic growth from their existing client base. Jodie Roach (far left), Will Rose (left) and Sam Harris (below, top left) have been brought on board to join the agency’s creative team in Melbourne, while Sam Hemphill joins Dimitry Rybkin and Nicole Dixon (below, bottom left) in their new roles in the technical and operations teams. In Sydney, Dan Robathan joins the agency in the newly created role of group account director and Barry Saunders comes on board as a user experience analyst.

“In particular, the appointment of Dan Robathan (bottom right) to our Sydney office is testament to Sputnik’s continued national expansion.

Sputnik’s expanding client base that has prompted the appointmentsincludes: GE Capital where the agency is now working on both thecorporate and commercial businesses; Origin Energy where Sputnik hasbeen appointed to work on the Origin Foundation business; and Googlewhere Sputnik is now involved with their display and AdWords retentionteams. In Sydney, the agency has won more government work, this timefor Industry and Investment NSW.
About the new recruits:
Jodie Roach joins Sputnik Melbourne as art director and has nine yearsexperience in roles spanning Australia, Singapore, London andAmsterdam. Her resume includes positions at TBWA\Tequila, M&CSaatchi and Y&R where she worked for Singapore Airlines,Mitsubishi, Ford, Visa, Beck’s Beer and Tourism Australia to name a few.
Sam Harris assumes the role of copywriter and comes equipped with aninternationally diverse background having worked at the likes ofPublicis UK and Good Technology on clients including ANZ, Renault,Hewlett Packard and the British Army.
Will Rose joins Sputnik from Dare Digital in London where he worked asa senior interactive designer. He brings over 8 years of industryexperience to the role of designer, and has worked with some of theworld’s most prestigious brands, including Sony, Audi, Vodafone andCanon.
Barry Saunders has joined Sputnik Sydney as a user experience analysthaving held previous roles at WWF, Engage Media and in academia.
Joining the tech team as front-end developer, Brisbane boy Sam Hemphillhails from news.com.au in Sydney where he was an integral part of theentire network rebuild.
Dan Robathan is a ten year digital veteran and joins Sputnik Sydneyfrom Tongue and, previously, Yahoo!7. Dan’s experience spans the gamutof industry verticals including entertainment, FMCG, not-for-profit andretail.
