Sportsgirl launches its latest ‘Find Your Style and Run With It’ campaign via Portas, London + CKOL
Sportsgirl has unveiled its latest campaign ‘Find Your Style and Run With It’ starring MTV personality Mimi Elashiry, developed by London creative agency Portas and directed by CKOL’s Jessie Oldfield and Adam Murfet.
The campaign promotes Sportsgirl’s denim range and celebrates young Australians’ unique sense of style. In the spot Elashiry dances through the streets of Melbourne, radiating a sense of fun and youth all set to the driving sounds of Australian band Polish Club.
Says Kate Rees, national marketing manager of Sportsgirl: “Mimi is the perfect representation of our Sportsgirl girl – she is beautiful, talented and has such a energy for life. With our denim offer expanding in 2016 it’s an exciting launch campaign.”
Sportsgirl and Portas enlisted award-winning Australian directors Jessie Oldfield and Adam Murfet, as well as their production company CKOL, to bring the idea to life.
Says Oldfield: “Melbourne has such a youthful vibe and we directed our cinematography, locations, choreography and talent to champion the unique sense of style that is going on within the city.”
Sportsgirl launches the campaign this week across digital, social, PR, in-store and DIY denim activations. Behind-the-scenes footage and an interview with Elashiry will also run on MTV’s show It Girls this week.

“We’ve over 30 denim styles to choose from”
???
Agree. That’s way too British.
Yep, thats a girl running around with some OK music, move along, nothing to see here.
Yeah, should’ve said ‘heaps of denim’.
Straylia!
This makes me want to go to Victoria more than Clems Wander Victoria campaign.
The video is rad but yeah the supers suck.
definitely can see how they needed to go to the UK for that ground breaking creative
Snore
It has a pretty good flow but I agree: too much unnecessary text on screen.
And they went to London for this student music video effort ? Hope it was a fun junket but this looks like Brisbane
It’s not groundbreaking but it has a great vibe for the youth/dance/fashion space. Considering this Mimi girl has 810k followers on Instagram I’m sure lots of young eyes will see it.
What a load of rubbish… No wonder Sportsgirl is a brand of the past.
Absolute crap. Run with it! You get it… She’s running…
Portas. Rubbish…
Smells of a crappy Prue Thomas ad…
Of hang on didn’t she get sacked from Sportsgirl?
@Oh dear – that’s Melbourne mate :-/
I like it, I don’t love it but I’m a 55 year old bloke who doesn’t get fashion, hair, makeup etc. I showed my 14 year old daughter and she wants 2 of the dresses so they’re doing something right.
Looks great guys!
I’m digging it…..
All you super nuts need to get back to work and finish that liquor land copy.
