Special’s Richard Sweetman relocates to Special London for GM + Client Services Director role

Independent creative agency Special London has announced the appointment of Richard Sweetman to the newly created role of General Manager and Client Services Director. In this position, Sweetman will oversee the agency’s day-to-day operations across the UK market.

 

Sweetman transitions to the UK office after a year as Client Services Director for Special in Australia. His career includes tenures at Droga5 in both Sydney and New York, where he managed major accounts such as Tiger Beer, Qantas, and T-Mobile. He has also held roles at Saatchi & Saatchi London, where he worked on campaigns for Direct Line, Visa and BT.

This move comes as Special London continues to grow its footprint in the region. Sweetman will work closely with Cade Heyde, Global Partner at Special, while the agency conducts a search for a new CEO to lead its UK operations.

Special operates across the UK, US, Australia, Japan and New Zealand. Last year, the agency received Global Creative Agency of the Year at the Campaign Awards and was named Asia Pacific Agency of the Year by Effie.
