Special Australia marks its first decade with a ‘Night of a Thousand Thank Yous’

Special Australia recently celebrated turning ten by bringing everyone together from Sydney, Melbourne and Tokyo for a day of inspiring talks, conversations and community.

 

Special strategy partner Dave Hartmann kicked the day off deep diving into the agency’s purpose with his presentation exploring people’s fears and dreams.

Partners and CCOs Tom Martin and Jules Schreiber spoke about ten projects and the ten invaluable lessons learned from them that could inspire the agency to collaborate more effectively and create even bigger and braver.

This was followed up by a very (very) candid panel of the partners sharing the crazy, emotional and pivotal stories and choices that helped charter the path of the decade of the agency. But the true highlight of the day was the Pecha Kucha talks given by ten very brave ‘volunteers’ showcasing something about themselves from across the agency.

The inspiring day was followed by an evening of gratitude with what Special coined the ‘Night of a Thousand Thank Yous’ with every possible thank you they could muster, written large and small (down to inside the fortune cookies!) throughout the National Art School in appreciation to all the special humans – employees, partners, collaborators, advisors – who’ve helped Special Australia on its incredible journey thus far.

“Thanks to everyone and everything that has made a decade of Special Australia, special,” say all the partners one more time. “And to the next decade coming”.
