Skin Control encourages Aussies to ‘Put Your Best Face Foward’ in new campaign for Acne Awareness Month via MVMNT Agency

June marks Acne Awareness Month, and Australia’s #1 pimple patch brand Skin Control is launching a new national initiative, “Put Your Best Face Forward”, in partnership with MVMNT Agency.
Proudly supporting Beyond Blue, the campaign aims to break down the stigma surrounding acne, champion real skin, and raise vital funds to support mental health services across the country.
While up to 85 per cent of Australians will experience acne at some point in their lives, outdated misconceptions and unrealistic beauty standards continue to fuel shame around visible skin conditions. The stigma can have a significant impact on confidence and well-being. The ‘Put Your Best Face Forward’ campaign is set to shift the narrative by empowering individuals to embrace their skin, regardless of where they’re at in their journey.
“In my late teens, I developed severe acne that deeply impacted my self-esteem and mental health. I remember feeling like I wanted to disappear, avoiding social situations because I was self-conscious about my skin. This campaign is incredibly personal to me – it’s the message I wish I could have given my younger self: your skin doesn’t define your worth, and you don’t need to hide away,” says Skin Control Founder, Michael Porter.
“We want people to celebrate their skin. Supporting Beyond Blue feels like a full-circle moment, turning an experience with self-confidence and mental health into an opportunity that can help support others. We truly admire the important work that Beyond Blue does in providing vital mental health services and reducing stigma, and we are proud to support their mission.”

Throughout June, Australians are invited to take part by posting to Instagram Stories or TikTok using @skincontrolau and the hashtag #PutYourBestFaceForward, while wearing either the Party Pack or Glossy Pack pimple patches. For every post, Skin Control will donate $10 to Beyond Blue, helping to fund critical mental health support services nationwide.
This campaign is not only for those experiencing acne – it’s for everyone. Skin Control is calling on all Australians to join the conversation, share real and honest stories and help build a community where all skin is seen, respected, and celebrated.
“In all kinds of different ways, we know that learning to feel comfortable in your own skin is a big part of many people’s mental health journey. Studies suggest around half of young people with acne experience impacts on their self-esteem, and are at increased risk of experiencing depression or anxiety,” says Beyond Blue’s Clinical Spokesperson, Dr Luke Martin.
“Every two minutes, someone reaches out to our Support Services in a tough situation. This incredible support from Skin Control will help Beyond Blue to be there 24/7, right around the country, when people need us.”

Founded in 2018, Skin Control has always championed the message that real skin is nothing to hide. Through innovative products and impactful storytelling, the brand continues to support Australians in putting their best face forward, with pride.
This Acne Awareness Month, join the movement and help create a future where acne is met with understanding, no shame.
