Revolver director Trevor Clarence writes and directs darkly comedic short film ‘The Reality’
The Reality is a darkly comedic short film written and directed by Revolver’s Trevor Clarence.
The short film is about a mild-mannered florist needs a win and agrees to swap jobs for the day with a paramedic. But it turns out… being a paramedic is a little bit harder than being a florist.
Says Clarence: “I wanted to make a film that celebrated failure. The movies always tell us that if we just put ourselves out there, try hard and believe in ourselves then we can do anything. But the reality is, we can’t do anything. Sometimes we try really hard and still fail. And someone trying really hard and failing can be a little bit heart breaking and quite hilarious. It’s my goal to try and make people laugh at things they haven’t laughed at before. Because that’s really how comedy works.”
