Review with Myles Barlow, Season 2, airs tonight
Series 2 of the darkly satirical Review with Myles Barlow, which was co-created and directed by Jungleboys’ director Trent O’Donnell, debuts tonight on ABC2 at 9.30pm. Once again Myles Barlow (Phil Lloyd) reviews life experiences – from addiction and loss to being racist and forming a cult – in his deadpan style. This season is a veritable who’s who of Australian celebrity – Dan Wyllie, Anthony Hayes, Dieter Brummer, Josh Lawson, John Jarratt, Dave Hughes, Carrie Bickmore and Charlie Pickering all play themselves in early episodes. More surprising was the participation of Barry Crocker, Tania Zaetta, Rob Mills and Nikki Webster in a review of B-grade celebrity.
Plenty of celebrities wouldn’t take part though, among them KyleSandilands, who they wanted for a review of ‘killing Kyle Sandilands'(he appears only in paparazzi-style footage behind the wheel of hiscar).
Series 1 won two AFIs and the format was sold to the US, Britain and several European
territories. CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE TRAILER
