Punching above our weight: Australia once again ranked #6 at Cannes; NZ placed equal 9th
Well,CB has done the number crunching and can reveal that Australia is onceagain the 6th most awarded country in the world at the 2010 Cannes Lions – basicallyrepeating our outstanding performance of last year – and New Zealand isplaced =9th, the first time it has been in the top 10.
The USAis once again #1, with 135 awards, followed by the UK with 72, Germanywith 59, Brazil with 56, Sweden with 46 and Australia with 44 awards.Next came France with 39 awards, followed by Spain with 28. Japan, NewZealand and South Africa had 26 awards, 25 awards and 22 awardsrespectively (but all on equal points).
