PUMA celebrates footy star Scott Pendlebury’s 400th AFL game with new billboard via Bursty
PUMA has unveiled a new billboard in the heart of Melbourne to commemorate Collingwood star Scott Pendlebury’s milestone 400th AFL game developed by creative agency Bursty.
As Pendlebury’s dedicated partner for nearly a decade, PUMA aimed to mark the occasion in a way that truly celebrates his extraordinary career.
Pendlebury, one of PUMA’s longest-standing sponsored athletes for nearly 10 years, was recognised with a striking billboard located at the corner of Bridge and Punt Roads, Richmond, opposite the MCG.
In addition to the billboard, Pendlebury was presented with a special pair of PUMA Future boots, one in black and one in white, by his teammate, Jordan De Goey, which he will proudly wear for his 400th game.
Developed by Bursty, with media managed by Havas, the billboard will be live for one week and was tactically placed so fans will see the artwork heading to and from Scott’s 400th on Saturday.
To launch the billboard Bursty coordinated a media conference with Scott that has seen the unique creative profiled extensively on 7 News, 9 News, 10 News, AFL.com.au, Fox Sports, the Herald Sun and various other social media pages.
PUMA is proud to honour Pendlebury’s remarkable milestone of 400 AFL games with the unique tribute that reflects the significance of this achievement with PUMA director of marketing Neysa Goh saying: “PUMA and Scott’s partnership began in 2015, and we’re proud to say we were there for game 200 and now game 400. Scott embodies everything PUMA stands for, and there is a reason why this partnership is so special to us. We congratulate Scott on this truly remarkable achievement.”
PUMA’s celebration of Scott Pendlebury’s milestone underscores its long-standing commitment and partnership with one of AFL’s most celebrated players.
