Production studio SIRAP is honoured to have directed, shot, produced and edited the state of Victoria’s motion content, in-stadium assets and broadcast packages for the recent Closing Ceremony for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham UK, in anticipation of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Australia.

Engaged by Australian creative powerhouse David Atkins Enterprises; SIRAP worked intensively for six weeks, shooting at various  locations around regional Victoria to produce  the visual assets that were celebrated at the emotive Commonwealth Game Closing Ceremony.

Showcased on a variety of imposing LED Screens throughout the stadium, the content celebrated the raw beauty, variety and multicultural elements of the state of Victoria.

SIRAP was in a unique position with this body of work; having spearheaded and created the hugely successful cinematic campaign for Visit Victoria, ‘Stay Close Go Further’ which drove the COVID-19 tourism recovery for the state through a wide-reaching television, radio, print and media campaign.

Leading Australian director and choreographer, David Atkins, of David Atkins Enterprises comments; “We knew of SIRAP from their evocative work they accomplished with ‘Stay Close Go Further’ and the studio was the natural choice to bring the state of Victoria to life in motion, on the world’s stage.”

Says Paris Thomson, founder and creative director discusses: “It was an incredible honour for our studio to be engaged on this significant body of work. To see our state of Victoria on stage at the Commonwealth Games – communicating the beauty and the essence of makes our state great – was a career highlight for our team.”

In 2026, Victoria will host the Commonwealth Games across a variety of sites in regional areas; namely Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat and Gippsland.
